Move Well, Be Well

'Learn Pilates to stabilise your core, improve stamina, coordination, balance, flexibility, enhance concentration, and use your breath to relax and unwind’
Pilates for physical and emotional wellbeing
Many of us come to Pilates because of pain. Most often this pain is caused by stress, anxiety, wear and tear or lack of movement.
Using the breath skilfully relaxes your body, reduces your blood pressure and increases feeling of calm. Dynamic stretching and knowing how to reach your perfect alignment, helps to grow muscles around your joints, this way reducing wear and tear.
Having a stable core is a great prevention against Lower Back Pain. Coordinated movements create a balanced body. If you are consistent with it, Pilates can help you become more resilient, strong and flexible in your body and mind.

Like many people, I found Pilates through pain, when a physiotherapist suggested that I join a Pilates class to help me with lower back, hip, shoulder pain and post -natal depression following the birth of my third child in 2007. It did not take long for Pilates to transform my body and ease my mind. I wanted to find out more about this powerful system and then to be able to share my knowledge with others.
I now enjoy introducing people to the Pilates method: helping them gain relief from pain, recover from injuries, enabling those with long term health conditions live fuller, happier lives and helping everyone guard against wear and tear.
